Delectable Triple Citrus Body Butter by Cake Beauty

Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing the Delectable Triple Citrus Body Butter Cream by Cake Beauty. I got this in my June Ipsy Glam bag. The size I have is 1 fluid ounces, while the full size of this product is 6 fluid ounces and retails for $15.00 on the Cake Beauty website.

Cake Beauty is a Canadian company and this product is made in Canada. This is also cruelty free, vegan, paraban, phthalate, petrolatum and triclosan free. It claims to have the oils from orange, tangerine, grapefruit and have shea butter.

The scent is pretty strong, so if you have an allergy or are sensitive this isn't the product for you. I do like the smell though, it smells like grapefruit and vanilla. I do not use this all over my body as for the most part i'm not that dry, my bad places are just my hands and elbows. When used on the hands it doesn't make your hands feel greasy, which is something I hate. It does make my hands feel moisturized but not very long. Usually when I put this on at night, my hands will be dry again by morning. I can get better results with the O'Keiffs Working Hands.
For my elbows this really doesn't do much, mind you I have yet to find something that combats the insane dryness. It also kind of burns a bit but just on my elbows, so I don't know if it's because my elbows are so dry or if my skin doesn't like what's in the butter.

It's an ok product, not something to write  home about. I guess if your not someone with really dry skin then maybe you'd like this. I'd maybe stay away from this product to if your skin is sensitive, the strong scent may make your skin burn or itch. Anyway, this body butter isn't super crappy but it isn't super great either, it's just meh.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette

Hey guys, hows it going? Today I will be reviewing the Wet N Wild Color Icon 10 Pan Palettes. These eyeshadow palette range from about $5.00 to $7.00 depending on where you buy them and are cruelty free. You get 0.35 ounces of product and these palettes are made in China. There are current four palettes in the range. The ones I have above are Not a Basic Peach (left) and Rose in the Air (right.)

Below are the swatches starting with the Not a Basic Peach palette. All the swatches are done with a finger and no base what so ever.

Next up is Rose in the Air.

So from what you may be able to see in these swatches the eyeshadows are kind of a letdown. Many of these eyeshadows lack pigment, something that the old Wet N Wild palettes did not. These are also super dry and chalky eyeshadows, they feel almost cheap. I know being drugstore they are cheap, but the old formula of Wet N Wild eyeshadows were pigmented, smooth and blended like a dream. These, when you blend them out look patchy even with a base. That blue shade in the Not a Basic Peach palette takes to much building to make it opaque even when using a white base. Many of the browns look muddy on the lid and is hard to distinguish between the shades. I am super disappointed in these eyeshadows and I don't understand why Wet N Wild had to go change a great formula. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with these eyeshadows.

Gone But Not Forgotten: Kat Von D Pastel Goth

Hello everyone today I am doing a new kind of segment on my blog. I'm calling it Gone But Not Forgotten, where I post a review on products that were limited edition and aren't around anymore, or other makeup that you can't get anymore. Today's review is on the Kat Von D Pastel Goth eyeshadow palette.

In this eyeshadow palette, you get 8 matte pastel eyeshadows. They are vegan and cruelty free, which should be obvious seeing as this is Kat Von D.

Here are the swatches from this palette. Each swatch was done with a finger and no base what so ever. First off we have Star, Clementine, Meow and Dope.

Next we have Doom, Gloom, Dagger and Skull.
These eyeshadows have decent pigment, feel nice and work well on the eyes. I do recommend using a white base though, to make the colors brighter. I find the quality of these shadows to be much better than what was used for the Kat Von D eyeshadow singles. You get little to no fallout with these, which when doing a colorful look is nice. Star is a really nice pale yellow and I'm actually pretty impressed by it as yellow seems to be a color that most companies don't do well. I actually kind of wish that this palette was still around so I could get a backup of these colors.

Ipsy Glam Bag July - What I Got

Hello everyone! Today I will be showing you what I got in my July Ipsy Glam Bag. If you don't know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly subscription where you get about 5 makeup, skincare and hair care products. The difference with Ipsy as opposed to other makeup subscriptions, is that you can pick your preferences. Now they don't always follow your preferences but it does help a bit. For example I have my preferences set to I am adventures with color, no face products, no hair care, only skin care is face masks, love eyeshadow brushes, liquid lipstick, mascara, nail polish and eyeshadow. For the most part, I get whats on my preferences but as you can see from above, sometimes you will get the odd item you don't want.

First up we have this blush/bronzer duo from Pacifica. This is something I'm not super thrilled to have. I'm not someone who wears foundation and therefore I don't require blush and bronzer. Anyway the shades are called Beaming and Tenderheart.
Next up we have the Elizabeth Mott Tapered Blending Brush. I feel like I can never have enough blending brushes, so I'm cool with this.
Next we have the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in the shade Stepping Out. Although I'm all for getting liquid lipstick, brown isn't really my color. It makes me look even paler than I am.
Next we have the Callyssee Caffeine Rush Nourishing Sheet Mask. Hey man nothing wrong with sheet masks.
Finally we have this eyeshadow by Ella Eden in the shade Harmony. This is a super pretty shade I can't wait to play with it.

All in all my bag wasn't that bad. I of course am not impressed about the blush/bronzer duo but whatever, you win some you loose some. What did you guys get in your Ipsy bag this month?

Sephora Pro Bullet Crease Brush

Hey guys how's it going? Today I will be reviewing the Sephora Collection Pro Bullet Crease Number 86 brush.

This brush retails at Sephora Canada for $25.00CND. The claim for this brush is that it is a all in one brush, where you can use it to place eyeshadow in the crease and blend it. While I do think that this brush is great at placing eyeshadow I don't think it's very good at blending. When I blend with this brush it just blends the shadow kind of patchy, like it almost skips on the skin when blending. This does do a ok job of blending on the outer V though. I will say that this brush does feel like a good quality brush and even managed to hold it's shape after washing. I so have yet to have any hairs fall out, which I hate it when a brush sheds. It's an ok brush, I just hate the price of it.

Anti Haul - Shit I'm Not Going To Buy

Hey guys welcome! Today I am going to do something a little different. I'm going to list off the super hyped or new makeup I'm not going to buy, like an anti-haul. This is kind of going to be the blog version of what Kimberly Clark on Youtube did.

First up is the Kylie Cosmetics Summer Collection. Reason why I'm not getting this? It's expensive AF and honesty the colors just don't appeal to me. I feel like I already have them in other palettes.

Next up is this new setting powder from HUDA Beauty. It's plain and simple, I don't wear foundation and when I do I use a cheap translucent powder. It's just not my jam fam.

I hate their skincare, it gives me burns and break outs. I don't even want to bother with their makeup, it will probably do the same to my skin. I'm also not huge on highlighting. Also this is $53.00! WTF!!

This one will be a bit of a shock, because the colors look really nice. This is the Kat Von D 10th Anniversary eyeshadow palette. I'm not getting this because the last palette I got, The I Am Divine palette, I wasn't really that impressed with it. Maybe this one is better but I'm going to Kat Von D eyeshadows a break.

Next up we have this highlighter palette from Charlotte Tilbury. Again it's highlighters, not my thing and expensive!

Next we have the 27 eyeshadow palette from MELT. Although I think the colors are pretty and I would love to try their formula, this is just way to expensive for me. it's $58.00 USD convert that to Canadian and add tax, shipping and customs fees and this is probably about $75 - $80.00. I think not.

Finally we have the Lunar Beauty Life's a Drag eyeshadow palette. One I'm not really a Manny fan, two the colors don't speak to me and three, I just don't have an interest in it.

Are any of you guys going to purchase these? Should I do another one of these?

Elizabeth Mott Pop Goes the Shadow

Hello everybody, hows it going? Today I will be reviewing the Elizabeth Mott Pop Goes the Shadow eyeshadow. I got this in my May Ipsy Glam bag in the shade Mermaid Teal. The sample is 0.05 ounces while the full size of this eyeshadow is 0.07 ounces. This eyeshadow is made in South Korea and retails for $13.00 USD.

Here are some different swatches I did of the eyeshadow. The first one was done with just a finger. The second was done with a brush and no base. The last swatch was done with a brush using a concealer as a base.
While the color of this eyeshadow is nice I'm not a super huge fan of it. The formula to me feels kind of cheap, it's not super soft feeling. It also takes a LOT to make this eyeshadow fully opaque, you have to really layer this shadow. I will also mention that you do get glitter fallout with this shadow. To me this isn't a huge deal but I know some people are not a huge fan of that. This claims to be crease free and last all day, this isn't the case with me. While it didn't crease it didn't really stay on my lid very long before fading.
The color is so pretty but I just don't like the formula, I wish I did because this is a color I would wear all the time. Oh well.

Slmissglambeauty N15 Eyeshadow Brush

How's it going guys? Today I will be reviewing the Slmissglambeauty N15 Eyeshadow brush that was exclusive for the May Ipsy glam bag.

This eyeshadow brush was only available in the May Ipsy glam bag and can not be bought anywhere. Don't worry though, your not missing out on much. Although this brush is super cute with the pink and blue bristles, and the gems it's nothing special. It's too soft to be used for packing on eyeshadow and too weird and not soft enough to be used for blending. I honestly have no use for this brush at least on the eyes. Maybe it could be used to put highlighter in the inner corner or on the browbone? I have to experiment a bit more as to what I can use this for. This is definitely not an eyeshadow brush.

Urban Decay Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette

Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing the Urban Decay Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette. This eyeshadow palette retails for $59.00CND on both the Sephora website and the Urban Decay website. There are 21 eyeshadows that come in mattes, shimmers and metallics. This eyeshadow palette is cruelty free and free of parabans.

For the first row we have Breakaway (literally the same color as my skin), Stranded, Blaze, Weekender, Still Shot, Riff and Good As Gone.

For the next row we have Hell Ride, Baka, Accelerate, Guilt Trip, Ignite, Smog and Wanderlust.

Next we have Wildheart, Punk, Double Life, Jet, Drift, Radio and Big Sky.

Before we go on to the actual review, I apologize for some of the eyeshadows not being in focus, I don't have a fancy camera so close ups are a pain to do. Anyway...on to the review!

I really like this eyeshadow palette, the shadows are pigmented and are easy to work with. The mattes in this palette are way better quality than the ones in the Naked palettes. They are super soft and pigmented. The downside is I have noticed with both Hell Ride and Baja that you do get a big of kick back in the pan. Drift is by far my favorite shade in this palette. It's like a dark grey with some hints of blue in it which is super pretty. I feel like this is the perfect palette for someone who likes to do natural looks but wants to add a bit of color. You can go super natural with this palette or bring out the darker colors and make it super smokey. I also want to mention that the packaging has some good weight to it thanks to the huge mirror. I personally kind of wish that there were some sort of hinges to hold up the mirror so I don't have to when I'm using it.

Overall this is a pretty good palette. I highly recommend this to anyone, especially people who have tried something like the Naked Palettes in the past and hated them. This palette is one hundred times better and much more versatile.

Revlon Balm Stain Review

Hey everybody today I will be reviewing the Revlon Balm Stains, formally known as the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. Here I have the shades Honey and Sweetheart. These guys retail for about 11.00 CND and you get 0.095 ounces of product. These balm stains are made in the USA and there are currently 13 different shades.

Here are the swatches. The top one if honey, which is a my lips but better shade. The bottom is Sweetheart which is a bright pink. These are super comfortable on the lips and will last a decent time as well. Brighter shades like Sweetheart will leave a slight pink stain on the lips that is in my opinion flattering. So if you are someone like me who hates having to constantly re apply lip products you'd love this. Even after eating you still have a bit of color. Being that these are supposed to be a balm they take a long time to dry down, but once they do it doesn't feel drying at all like a liquid lipstick does. There is a mint scent but that goes away once you apply these on your lips, so if you are someone who hates it when products smell you don't have to worry to much about this. I think these are perfect to throw in your purse and use on the go. Being that they in the jumbo pencil format they are easy to apply and you don't need a mirror. I highly recommend these balm stains.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream Review

Hey there everyone! Today's review is going to be on the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the color Istanbul. This product is made in China and you get 0.27 oz of product. The lip cream range has a huge variety of colors. From nudes, to pinks, to vibrant and even crazy colors like blue and purple.

Istanbul is a wearable, everyday nude pink. The texture is somewhat thick but comfortable. This product does have a subtle sweet sent, but it isn't over powering and is hardly noticeable when you are wearing the lipstick. This does have a pretty decent wear time, however it is not transfer proof. If your gonna drink something, or kiss someone it will transfer a little bit. To me, this isn't a huge deal. This is way cheaper and much more comfortable than something like the Stila lipstick. In Canada, depending on where you buy it the Nyx soft matte cream lipstick is about $10. I highly recommend this liquid lipstick to anyone and you are guaranteed to find a color that suits you with it's over 40 shades.

Biobell #UnicornGlow Perfect Radience Tencel Face Mask

Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing the Biobell #UnicornGlow Perfect Radience Tencel Face Mask. I received this item in my June Ipsy Glam Bag. This mask retails for $4.99 USD on both the Ipsy website and the Biobell website.
This face mask is paraban free, gluten free, vegan and cruelty free. As well as that this mask was made with no gmo's is anti pollution (whatever that means) and made with natural extracts. All the good things that the hippy dippy's will love. Supposedly there is chocolate, mullberry and honey in this mask.
I was hoping that since it is claimed to have chocolate in it, that this mask would smell like chocolate. Nope, it doesn't. Instead is smells like rubbing alcohol and some sort of combination of fruit and flowers. Not my favorite, that's for sure.
I thought that this being a sheet mask would help hydrate my dry skin, boy was I wrong. I honestly feel that the only thing this face mask accomplished was making my skin even dryer. I also had trouble keeping this mask on my face, making that 15 minutes go by slow as I had to keep my head back in order to not have the mask fall off my face.
Can you guys tell that I'm not a fan of this? I feel like this company is trying to grab people with the whole unicorn trend thing. Really though, this isn't worth it, the only thing I like about it is the cute packaging.

Urban Decay Naked Palette Review

Hello everybody today I will be reviewing the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette. This eyeshadow palette comes with 12 shades with each shadow being 0.05 oz of product. This palette retails at Sephora for $66 and was made in China. There are two matte shades, two satins, two shades with micro glitter and the rest are shimmer.

All swatches are done with a finger and no base. For this first set of swatches we have...Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar and Buck.

Next we have Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse and Toasted.

Finally we have Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal.

So first things first. This was my first ever purchase from Sephora back in November and spending that 66$ was a huge deal for me.The shimmer shades in this palette are pretty nice. They are nice and smooth, pigmented and blend nicely. The two matte shades and the two  shades with glitter are a bit patchy and aren't as pigmented. You definitely need to build the shadows to get a good pigment. The shimmers blend pretty well while the mattes need a little bit more work. I find this to be the case with most mattes though so to me it's not a huge deal. I'm not super thrilled with the price. You get less shades and less product then you do with lets say a Violet Voss palette. I would like to get the other three Naked palettes but I don't recommend this as a first high end purchase. Besides the price my other complaint is because of my fair skin, there isn't a good brow bone highlight or inner corner highlight. The lightest shade Virgin is pretty close to my own skin color and doesn't show up so well so I have to use something from another palette. This wouldn't be that great for travel as I would need to bring something else for a highlight. I really like the shades Toasted and Half Baked. These are super pretty and probably the shades I use the most along with Naked. If you already have a bunch of neutral eyeshadow palettes I don't think you really need this though. Yes the shimmers are nice but pretty much everyone is doing these same shades.

meech and mia pressed eye shadow

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the meech and mia pressed eye shadow single in the shade taupe. i got this in one of my ipsy glam...
