Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon

Hello everyone today I will be reviewing Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Cryaon in the shade Glace. I received a sample of this lip crayon for free with one of my Sephora orders. The full size of this product retails for $28.00 CND at Sephora and comes in 22 shades. These lip crayons are cruelty free, leaping bunny certified and made in the glorious country of Canada. You get 0.05 ounces of product. These are made from natural, organic ingredients, paraban free, sulfate free and phthalate free. Basically if there was some sort of zombie apocalypse you could eat this lip color if you had to.

Glace is described as a dust rose but to me looks a little bit more brown in real life than it does online. This lip product is literally the exact same as my natural lip color so I of course don't really see the lip product on my lips. It does feel nice and comfortable on the lips though and I wouldn't mind trying other shades. I don't know how long this lasts on the lips as well I couldn't see the color disappear since it is literally my lip color. My guess based on whether I could still feel it on my lips or not, is that it lasted a couple of hours. Basically once I went to eat or drink something then the lip product would be gone. That's kind of the standard wear time for most lip crayons. I feel like these would be the perfect thing to throw in your purse and take with you to use on the go.

Violet Voss The Rainbow Eyeshadow Palette

Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing the Violet Voss The Rainbow eyeshadow palette. First off, how pretty is this packaging?
This palette retails at Sephora for $40.00CND or $53.80CND from Beauty Bay. There are 10 eyeshadows in this palette and you get 0.11 ounces of product. These eyeshadows are paraben, sulfate and phthalate free.

Here are some swatches from the palette. All swatches are done with a finger and no base. These are the shadows from the first row: Flamingo, Peach, Buttercup, Seaform and Fiji.

Next we have Royal, Indigo, Violet, Pearl and Eclipse.

The formula of these shadows is very similar to that of the Like A Boss palette, very pigmented, smooth and easy to blend. If you want to make these shadows pop even more use a wet brush. I will say that there is a bit of fallout so either doing your foundation last or putting powder under your eyes is a must. The colors in this palette are so beautiful, I could just stare at them all day. I feel like if you are someone who wants to experiment with adding pops of color to your looks, you should try this palette. Any of these shades will look super pretty in the centre of the lid. I highly recommend this eyeshadow palette, and if your not into this then really any of Violet Voss eyeshadow palettes. Also with it being Pride soon, you can't go wrong with this rainbow palette.

BH Cosmetics 88 Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Hey there everyone today I will be reviewing and showing swatches, of the BH Cosmetics 88 Matte Eyeshadow Palette. This eyeshadow palette is $12.99 USD and comes with 88 eyeshadows. It is vegan, cruelty free, gluten free paraban free, allergy tested and clinically tested. Below will be the entire palette swatched with just using a finger with no base.

As you can see from the swatches there are quite a few of these shadows that are pretty much the same. I feel like this palette is missing some important colors too. I wish there was a nice dark blue and a black. The pigment of the colors are hit and miss, the lighter shades seem to have less pigment therefore a white base should be use to make them more opaque. Most of these shadows aren't matte either, which is weird considering this is supposed to be a matte palette. The formula on these is ok, better than what you get in the BH 180 palettes but not as good as what you get in the BH Carli Byble palette. They are smooth but I do highly recommend using some sort of base with these eyeshadows. If you are someone who is starting out with makeup but you don't want to spend a lot of money, then yes I do recommend this eyeshadow palette. If you are someone who collects makeup or someone who is more advanced in makeup, you don't really need this eyeshadow palette. The formula to me isn't that great, I much prefer the formula of the Colorpop eyeshadows than I do with this BH palette. This just isn't a palette I reach for that often. If there was a lot more difference in a bunch of the shades, I would use this more but to many of colors are basically the same. Some look different on a arm swatch but once on the eyes just blend into eachother. I personally would rather pay a bit more to get more color payoff.

June Ipsy Glam Bag

Hello everyone! Today I thought I would show you what I got in my Ipsy Glam Bag for the month of June. If you don't know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly subscription for $10.00USD (about $20.00 CND after shipping) where you get about five makeup/skincare/haircare items. What's really cool about Ipsy is that you can set your preferences and they will try to match your monthly bag based on that. Anyway I will be doing reviews on the products I got at a later date, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Now on to the bag.

First thing I got in this months bag is the 245 small shader eye brush by Luxie Beauty. This retails for $12.00 on the Ipsy website. Hey man I'm always in need of brushes so I can't complain about this.

Next up is the Triple Citus Body Butter from Delectable by Cake Beauty. Not super thrilled I got this as the only skincare I put on profile is face masks. Skincare isn't really my thing. I guess I will use it on my super dry areas though. You can't buy this on Ipsy but the full size from Cake Beauty is $15.00 and is a Canadian company.

Next we have this lip stain in Passion Peach from Doucce. The full size of this product is $28.00. This is super bright and not normally a color I would go for, but I'll give it a go. Who knows, maybe it will look good on me.

Next up we have a couple of sheet masks from Biobell. These are the #unicornglow sheet masks that are made with chocolate, mulberry and honey. I hope this smells like chocolate. Anyway this retails for $4.99 on the Ipsy website. I've never actually tried a sheet mask before but I'm excited to give this a go.

Finally we have this Steve Laurant eyeshadow. The shade I got is blueberry. This retails for $16.00 on the Ipsy website. The color is really pretty. A light blue with a pearl reflect. Can't wait to try it.

All in all I'm happy with this months glam bag. I love the eyeshadow and I can't wait to try the face mask. I just wish I didn't get the body butter as skincare isn't my thing. I'll probably pass that on to my mom or something.

TonyMoly Painting Therapy Pack Sebum Control

Hello everybody, today I will be reviewing the Tony Moly Painting Therapy Pack Black Color Clay Mask. I received this product in my May Ipsy Glam bag. This mask retails for $6.50 USD from the Tony Moly website and you get 0.35 fluid ounces of product. There are five different types of Painting Therapy Masks, with each one doing something different. The black mask has bamboo charcoal that apparently helps break down dead skin cells and extracting impurities. It claims it is perfect for controlling oil and sebum. This mask is also made in Korea.

While I don't think it does that much for my oil and sebum, I do find that my skin feels cleaner once I've done this mask. I tend to use this in my t zone as this is most problematic for me with both oil and acne. I do wish that there was also more product as well. If you are going to use this mask on your whole face, 0.35 fluid ounces won't last you that long. As for how the mask feels and smells, I don't really notice a smell which is nice. I hate it when masks or makeup and skincare products in general have a strong smell. This mask doesn't sting or tingle which is a plus and it also doesn't make the skin feel super tight like some masks can. I also find that after doing this mask my skin doesn't get that dry.

I do like this mask for how it makes my skin feel clean but I really wish you got more product.

Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Review

How's it going everybody? Today I will be reviewing the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick. This lipstick retails for about $9 and you get 0.17 fl oz of product. Currently there are 20 shades ranging from nudes to vampy to just plain weird colors. The color I have here is in the shade Dreamer.

Dreamer is a slightly lighter than my lips nude pink. This product does have a slight sweet scent to it that you can smell a little bit while it's on your lips but it isn't super strong. The formula on this is kind of weird. Although it does wear for a long time it doesn't fully set and remains a bit sticky. This doesn't transfer to much even though it stays sticky kind of like a gloss. I do also find that this is somewhat thick and therefore kind of looks a bit clumpy on the lips. If you don't like the feel of a lip gloss then this product isn't for you. I'm not a huge fan of the feel of this product, if it wasn't so sticky I would happily wear this more.

Urban Decay Single Eyeshadow Review

Hey everyone! Today I will be reviewing the Urban Decay eyeshadow singles. The two shades I have here are 1985 (left) and Lounge (right). You get 0.05 oz of product and these shadows are made in the USA. On the Sephora website these retail for $24.00 CND and there are matte, satin, shimmer and metallic shades.

Here is a swatch done with just the finger. You can see that 1985 doesn't seem to swatch that well with a finger. Lounge though, is super pigmented!

I decided here to do swatches with a brush. The first set has no base, which you can see how little pigment there is with 1985. The second set I did with a Nyx Jumbo white pencil. With the pencil, it seems to take away some of the glitteryness with Lounge while it definitely helps make 1985 more pigmented.

Lounge is a shimmer described as being a brick red with a green shift. It is super soft, pigmented and easy to blend. 1985 is a matte, or at least that's what Sephora calls it. When you look at the shadow in the pan it looks like a shimmer, and even when swatched with the finger looks shimmery. When I put 1985 on using the Nyx base it did seem to matte out, which I find odd. 1985 is soft but not as soft as Lounge but it does blend just as well. Pigmentation wise, you need a white base with this eyeshadow to make it look like the shade in the pan. This is something I found with the mattes from the Urban Decay Naked palette as well. Urban Decay just doesn't seem to do matte eyeshadows that well.

If your going to buy single Urban Decay eyeshadows, I recommend that you stick to the shimmer or metallic shades. Those are super pretty and have great pigmentation. $24 though is a bit much so I personally don't think I will buy anymore Urban Decay single eyeshadows, the palettes are a much better deal.

BH Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick Review

Hey there everybody, today I will be reviewing the BH Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick. The shade I have here is called Tabitha. Online it looks like a nude baby pink but in real life it is much brighter. These liquid lipsticks retail for $8.99 USD but it frequently goes on sale for at least $4.00 USD. You get 0.12 oz of product and it is made in the USA. Currently, there are 24 different shades on the BH website. These liquid lipsticks are cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, allergy tested and dermatologist tested.

This color is quite pretty, but as I said much brighter than I thought it would be. The formula is pretty nice. It doesn't feel crazy drying on the lips and lasts a good while even though eating and drinking. I do recommend though that you wait a good hour after applying before eating to make sure it is fully dry. Like pretty much all liquid lipsticks if you have chapped or cracked lips this will make them look much worse. This liquid lipsticks does leave a little stain which to me isn't the end of the world. I would rather there be lots of pigment in a liquid lipstick then there being none.
I do think you guys should try this liquid lipstick out. It's a really good price, basically drugstore priced.

Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette Review

What's up everybody! Today I will be reviewing the Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette. This drugstore eyeshadow palette retails for about 17$. Yes you heard me right folks, 17$. The 12 shade eyeshadow palette is made in the USA and has matte, satin and shimmer shades.

As you can probably see from these swatches, which were done with just a finger, these shadows are pretty poor. There is pretty much no pigment with the exception of a few of the shimmer shades. The mattes are chalky and when applied become patchy and because they don't have pigment just end up looking muddy on the eyes. Using a base with these shadows, doesn't help that much either. I find that the patchyness becomes worse when using a base. These are honesty some of the most unimpressive shadows I have ever used, even from the drugstore. Maybe if you are just learning how to use makeup this would be ok, but 17 bucks for that? It's just sad. Don't waste your 17$ on this palette, go get yourself some ColourPop eyeshadows instead. Those are cheap and really good quality. I literally do not reach for this Maybelline palette, and I totally regret buying it. It was super hyped about in the Youtube community and in reality is just a major let down. I see that Maybelline has more palettes like The Nudes, but I suspect that those eyeshadows will be pretty much the same in quality and therefore will not be purchasing those.

Adesse New York Gel Effect Nail Polish Review

Hello everybody today I will be reviewing the Adesse New York Gel Effect Nail Polish in the shade Oh, Cabana Boy. Now being the idiot that I am, I forgot to take a photo of this nail polish so you could see a swatch of it. Sorry about that. Anyway I got this in my May Ipsy Glam bag. On both the Ipsy website and the Adesse website, this nail polish retails for $18.00 USD.

This nail polish is a light somewhat periwinkle blue, a really beautiful color. Sadly I am not a fan of this formula. When I first used this I had a really bad cold and therefore couldn't smell, boy could I smell this nail polish though! It has a really strong chemically smell that I am not a fan of. I find it weird how strong and nasty the scent is considering this is supposed to be made of natural, organic ingredients.

A couple of hours after putting this nail polish on, I had a bath and within a few moments of me being in the bath the polish on three of my nails totally peeled off. It didn't peel off in little chunks either, the entire coat that was on the nail peeled off in one piece. It looked like I didn't even apply nail polish.

Now I don't expect to get nail polish that doesn't chip. I do manual labour for work and I have come to expect my nails to chip. I hadn't even been to work yet and the rest of the polish that was left on my nails started to chip and peel really badly. I don't know if I just got a bad batch of this polish but I've never had a polish act this way before. I am so not impressed with how this preforms especially with how much it costs. I think I'll stick to my $4 Sally Hansen nail polish.

Air Repair Complexion Quenching Facial Mist Review

Hello everybody today I will be reviewing the Air Repair Complexion Quenching Facial Mist. I received this facial mist in my May Ipsy Glam bag. Both on the Ipsy website and on the Air Repair website, this product retails for $10.00 USD. You get 2 fl oz of product and is vegan, gluten free and cruelty free.

I hate this product. The smell is pretty strong and perfumery which I hate. Let me put it this way, I had a cold, used this and I could smell it even though I couldn't normally smell things. That's how strong the scent is. It's not a nice perfume smell either, it's very floral and floral scents just aren't my thing. This honestly didn't really do anything for my skin. It felt like I was just putting water on my face, not hydrating at all. I have found as well that it also makes me break out and when first applying slightly burns my skin. I don't know what ingredient is bothering me but my skin just is not happy when I use this spray.

This I feel is just a waste of money. It's fancy scented water that does nothing for your face.

meech and mia pressed eye shadow

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the meech and mia pressed eye shadow single in the shade taupe. i got this in one of my ipsy glam...
