anastasia beverly hills riviera eye shadow palette

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the anastasia beverly hills riviera eye shadow palette. this is my first ever palette from ABH.

this palette currently retails on sephora canada for $59 and it has 11 eye shadows and 3 pressed pigments. the shades that are pigments are bahamas, cannes and palm. there are 6 shimmers and the rest are matte. this is claimed to be paraban free, cruelty free and gluten free.

here are the swatches, each was done with just a finger.
the shades are sails, yacht, seychelles, palermo, seaside, inheritance and mediterranean.

next is estate, cabana, coastline, bahamas, monte carlo, cannes and palm.

the formula of these is super soft which kind of makes the packaging dirty as there is a bit of kickback. pretty much all of the shades are super pigmented. i was super surprised with how pigmented the white was. the shimmers work pretty well without wetting the brush but there will be fallout. the mattes take a bit of work to blend especially the three pigments but that is to be expected. i didn't experience as much fallout with the mattes as i did the shimmers. besides that i am pretty impressed with this palette. i do wish that there was maybe a dark navy blue but that is just my personal preference. seaside and mediterranean are probably my favorite shimmers in this, they are just so pretty. there are a decent amount of neutrals in this palette, which is kind of expected from ABH so i feel like someone who wants to try their hand at colour would like this palette. all in all i think it's a decent palette, i do wish the price was the same as the other ABH palettes, this one is a couple of bucks more. i can see myself getting some use out of it.

IBY beauty eye shadow in midnight sky

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the IBY beauty lush eye shadow single in the shade midnight sky. i got this from ipsy by using some of my points. i think you can still buy it from ipsy and you can get this shade in a set from the IBY beauty website. this is not a full size eye shadow but it does have 0.048 ounces of product. this eye shadow is also cruelty free.

here are a couple of swatches i did. the first one was done with my finger and the one below it i used a brush. as you can see this is pretty damn pigmented! a little will go a long way when using this on the eyes.
i really like this eye shadow i love how pigmented it is as i feel like this shade of blue is hard to come across a good pigmented shade. it goes on smooth and you can blend it out pretty easily. i do want to point out that because of how pigmented it is, there is fallout. so i recommend you either do your eyes first or have a shit ton of powder under your eyes. there is micro glitter in the pan but i feel like you don't really notice it once it is on the eyes. i do really like this eye shadow and i'm curious to know if IBY's shadows are all the same good quality as this.
i also wanted to point out that this is made in china. i know the shock, the horror. i personally don't care if makeup is made in china as long as it's good. anyway i wouldn't mind trying more of this brands eye shadows. what about you guys? have any of you tried IBY beauty eye shadows?

tony moly petite bunny gloss bar

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the tony moly petite bunny gloss bar in juicy cherry. now i got this in one of my ipsy glam bags (i believe february) but you can buy this from the tony moly website. on the canadian website it costs $12.
it's described as being a slightly tinted glossy balm that is perfect for layering on top of other lip colors. now i personally don't see any sort of tint to this what so ever. this does have a strong fake cherry scent as well so if you aren't a fond of smelly lip products then this isn't for you. to be honest this reminds me of a lip smacker. it feels like just a typical super scented lip balm that doens't really add much of sheen to the lips. i mean i'll use if i have to, but i have my favorite lip balm that actually moisturizes my lips. this one just doesn't do much for me and feels like a waste of money. maybe if you a kid or something, that i can i see someone using it. sorry though it's just not my thing. cute packaging though, i will give it that.

coloured rain vivid pigments and shadows palette

hello everyone today i am reviewing the coloured raine vivid pigments and shadows palette.
now i got mine from the coloured raine website where it costs $66.74 CAD but you can also get this beautybay for $69. there are 16 shades in this palette, all matte and three of these shades are pressed pigments. those shades are purp smurf, sauce and party drip. these are cruelty free and all the shades are vegan except for the shade unbothered which does use carmine. i also want to point out that each shadow has 0.06 ounces of product.

the first row of shades here are sauce, unbothered, drip drop and bossed up. oh i also want to mention that i used my finger to do these swatches and my arm has no base on it what so ever.

next we have party drip, lemon drop, jet set and cute.

next we have crushin, level up, neo blue and vibez
finally we have splash, squad, yacht life and purp smurf.

i want to mention that these are for the most part pretty pigmented so defiantly tap off the excess off your brush and use a light hand. you can always build up the color if you need to. because these are insanely pigmented they are a bit hard to blend. and when i mean hard i just mean that it takes work to blend them. just got to keep going back and forth. however i love this palette. i literally made sure i used every single shade in this palette before i decided to write my review. and thus far i have used at least one shade in pretty much every look i have done since i've gotten it. do beware that some shades will stain a bit on the eyes if you don't use a base but to me that's not a huge problem. you do get some fallout so i either recommend you do your face makeup last or use a shadow shield under your eyes. i love that these are all matte as well, bright matte shades are hard to come by. i honestly don't have much to say about this other than it's amazing. sure it's a bit pricey but i think it's worth it. i also want to mention that i don't think you would be able to repress these shadows if they happened to break. they are extremely hard and dry and repressing them just simply wouldn't work. so take good care of your palette and make sure you don't break it!

sephora editorial volume 2

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the sephora pro eye shadow palette in editorial 2. this eye shadow palette has 28 eye shadows with 0.04 ounces of product. it costs $82.00 CND from sephora. there are a mix of matte, satin and metallic shades.

here is the first row of swatches. i used a finger for all the swatches and no base on my arm.
the shades are: enchant, potion, antique rose, feather, wizard, cloak and talisman.

next is mystic, magic, synergy, chant, spellbound, brick and blood moon.

next is fire, wish, sense, omen, sage, trance and coven.

and finally we have psychic, illusion, faerie, pegasus, charm, atlantis and alchemy. (super sorry for the blurryness at the bottom it was hard to get a clear shot with all that shimmer!)

i do have to say that this is a fairly unique color story for an eye shadow palette, there are defiantly some shades in here that i didn't already have in my collection. the quality of the eye shadows are....ok at best. most of the shimmer shades work best with a wet brush or a finger and even with a couple of shades, like charm and atlantis you still need to really build it up to get that full opacity. the mattes are alright they aren't super pigmented so you can build them up if you want too and are fairly easy to blend out. i really like the shade psychic, it is super pretty on the inner corner and kind of reminds me of a smashbox eye shadow, but i sadly can't remember the name of it at the moment. i'm not a fan of the price of this eye shadow palette. when i think of a $80 palette i expect it to be super amazing quality, not hit and miss. this would probably be better at around the $50 mark. i mean i personally like the palette and i know i will continue to get use out of it, but i feel like most people this would be a miss especially with the price. do i think you should drop your money for this palette? no not really, not unless you are collector like i am then maybe but even so..i only bought this because it was a birthday present from myself to myself. i wouldn't normally go and spend that much on a eye shadow palette.

naked cosmetics heavy metal

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the naked cosmetics heavy metal loose pigment in the shade he-06. you can buy this as a single or from as a set from both the ipsy and naked cosmetics website. the single is $14.99 while the set is $59.99. now i'm not sure if the one i have is full size or not but it has 0.05 ounces of product.

please excuse the stain on my skin from the lipstick i swatched in the previous post. anyway you can build up this pigment quite a lot even though it doesn't look like it in the photo. you can wear it without a sticky base but i find that if you do wear a base you get less glitter fallout than you do without. it doesn't bother my eyes which is nice since pigments can sometimes do that. as with any pigment you can use this elsewhere besides your eyes. i've actually used it on my nails and it works just fine. i do think it's a bit expensive. i mean i get that your somewhat of a indie brand but it's still a bit much for my blood. i will say however if i ever get more of these in a subscription i wouldn't be mad at it. i say if you have the money and either like loose pigments or are wanting to to try them, to go ahead and get this as it can be pretty forgiving. it's not one of those pigments that you first put on and is holy crap pigmented, you can sheer this out or build it up so it's perfect for a beginner.

Ciate London Glitter Flip

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the ciate london glitter flip liquid lipstick. now i got this in one of my ipsy glam bags but you can buy the full size of this from sephora for $23.00 CND. the full size has 0.10 fluid ounces of product. the shade i have is called infamous which is a nude shade, but there are plenty of other shades in the range.

now by it's self the shade is super pretty, it's a dark brownish pinky nude with a pinky gold glitter. if this didn't have the glitter i would like this a lot more. the glitter just ruins the look for me although you can't really tell in this picture. the glitter makes my lips look really horrible. it makes any cracks or dry skin look a million times worse, any lines you have on your lips it makes them look bigger than they actually are. if there wasn't glitter in this, the formula would be perfect. it lasts a REALLY long time and even using makeup remover, you still don't get it all off. it is a pretty drying lipstick but not as bad as something like stila. i also just don't like the feel of the glitter, it makes the lipstick feel a bit gritty when it's dry. basically when i got my ipsy bag and saw this i was immediately not impressed. glitter lips are not my thing and this liquid lipstick just confirms that. stay away from this if you don't like glitter.

February Ipsy - What I Got

hello everyone, today i thought i'd show you what i got in my feburary ipsy glam bag. if you don't know what ipsy is, it's a monthly makeup subscription where you get 5 deluxe to full sized makeup products for $10. they also have a points system where you get points for reviewing products and can redeem those for more makeup! this month i did redeem my points for an eye shadow.

this is the eye shadow i redeemed my points on. it's the lush eye shadow by iby beauty in the shade midnight sky. never heard of this brand but can't wait to try the shadow out.

the first actual thing in my bag this month is this powder brush 50f from farah brushes. i'm not someone who uses a lot of face products so this is actually my second only powder brush. it seems to be decent thus far and the color is pretty cute.

next are these two sheet masks from sur.medic. to be honest all sheet masks feel the same to me pretty much but whatever. if it helps bring moisture to my dry ass face then i'll happily use it.

next up is this petite bunny gloss bar in juicy cherry from tony moly. it's literally like a lip smackers. but my review on this will be later.

next is this pressed eye shadow from meech and mia in the shade taupe. now i have tried their loose eye shadows and liked that so i am curious to try out their pressed shadows.

finally we have this be bright illuminating concealer from kokie cosmetics in the shade light. meh i really only use concealer on my eyes as again i don't often wear foundation but i guess i could give this a try. i'm not to sure about the color though.

so that was my ipsy bag for the month of february. it was....meh like i gave it a 2 out of 5. what did you guys get in your ipsy? i'm actually considering canceling as this is the second month in a row where i'm like...the bag was meh. what do you guys think?

Colourpop Build Your Own Palette

hello everyone, today we will be looking at my custom palette i did from colourpop. colourpop has the option to build your own palettes in various sizes. i did the small eye shadow palette and it cost me $30 for 12 eye shadows. i would actually like to own every single colourpop eye shadow but i know that's not going to happen anytime soon. anyway the formula of these are the same as every colorpop eye shadow so i'm not going to actually do a review. this is more of a swatch and tell if you like.

first up we have tea garden (a shade i have been wanting for a long time), crackle, conjure up and superzoom.

next we have pardiso, heavenly, meteorite and sandbar. i didn't have a hot pink like this in my collection until now.

next is antimatter, earthshine, try me and take flight. so i didn't actually know that earthshine was in the it's my pleasure palette so now i have two! and can we just talk about how pretty antimatter is!

Ciate London Wonderwand Mascara

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the ciate london wonderwand mascara. now mine is a sample i got in my ipsy glam bag, but you can get the full size of this from sephora. the full size has 0.32 ounces of product and costs $26.00 CND.
the wand of this sort of reminds me of the too faced better than sex wand, it's got that almost hourglass shape.i personally prefer the more plastic like wands like the ones that covergirl use so right off the bat this isn't my favorite wand. i'm picky i know but whatever. formula wise it seems ok. doesn't flake off or really smudge. i've been out in the rain with this on and it thankfully didn't run even though this isn't waterproof. it gives decent length (although i already have naturally long lashes and don't really need it) and makes them look much fuller. it's a pretty decent mascara. i doubt i will buy it though as i honestly think that $26 for a mascara is a bit much but that's just me. nothing thus far will ever beat my $7 covergirl mascara including this. now ever though this did last well on my eyes it did irritate them a bit, so maybe if you have sensitive eyes stay away from this. i think though if you can afford it that you should give this mascara a try.

meech and mia pressed eye shadow

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the meech and mia pressed eye shadow single in the shade taupe. i got this in one of my ipsy glam...
