l'oreal voluminous million lashes review

hello everyone, today i am going to review the l'oreal voluminous million lashes mascara. this mascara costs around $10.00 from the drug store and you get 0.3 fluid ounces of product. according to the l'oreal website, this mascara is suitable for people who wear contact lenses or have sensitive eyes. perfect my eyes are fairly sensitive. the brush is a large rubber one that is actually pretty flexible so you can really get up into those lashes. after one coat though, i will say that it doesn't give me that much volume. you defiantly need to do two coats if you want to see results, however i am perfectly fine just doing one coat. i already have fairly thick and long lashes so i honestly just want to darken them. it seems to last a good amount of time on my eyes and doesn't seem to flake or bother my eyes. it's a good mascara it just isn't as good as my holy grail covergirl orange tube. would i repurchase? maybe if i need mascara or it was on sale. sorry but your just not as good as my favorite.

morphe m441 pro firm blending crease brush

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the morphe m441 pro firm blending crease brush. i got mine from sephora, but you can also get these at ulta and morphe. at sephora canada it cost $8.
now i bought two of these brushes because you can never have enough brushes which made me notice that the quality of these is inconstant. one brush was perfectly fine. it was soft, fluffy, wasn't shedding and worked just fine. the other brush though that was a different story. it was badly shedding, miss shaped, stiff and actually poked my eyes. the shedding on the one was so bad that i actually got a hair stuck on my eye ball, which is not at all comfortable. the one that isn't crappy is a decent brush, it does what it is supposed to do. blend out my eye shadow. i do wish that they were a bit smaller so i could really get into my crease but it's not the end of the world. you  just need to be careful if your ordering online as the quality seems to be a hit or miss. it would most likely be better if you could go into a store so that way you can actually feel the brush. anyway these are only $8 so your not going to break your bank on it.

anti haul - shit i'm not going to buy

hello everyone and welcome to another episode of anti haul shit i'm not going to buy! where i tell you the makeup products i'm not going to buy and why.

first up is the laura lee los angeles slay belle liquid lipsticks. well for starts it's laura lee. i never liked her, i can't stand her personality so why would i support her brand? but besides that the colors just don't scream to me.

oh look another laura lee product! this time it's the slay belle mini eye shadow palette. honestly the colors don't really excite me, they've been done before.

next up is the gloss bomb universal lip luminizer from fenty. basically it's just a lip gloss, and lip gloss ain't my thing.

next is this eye shadow palette from too faced called the pretty rich diamond light. honestly the colors just don't really scream to me. i also want to point out that the last too faced palette i tried, the then and now palette didn't impress me.

next up is the lolita eye shadow palette from kat von d. i can no long support her brand since she has lost her ever loving mind. this is a pretty palette, but i just can't buy anything from her brand and frankly, i don't think you should either. sorry but if you think not protecting your kids from polio is ok then your messed up.

next is this ignited eye shadow palette from nars. although the shimmer shades look pretty this is $74 and i can't justify spending that.

next are these power bullet metallic lipsticks from huda beauty. now these do indeed look pretty but with how nasty my lips are, i guarantee these will look horrible on me.

next are these urban decay on the run mini eye shadow palettes. although while a nice idea the colors don't really speak to me and they are also $32 for only 8 eye shadows. that's a little bit much in my opinion.

next is the kush lip balm from milk makeup. i'm allergic to weed so... there's that. also i'm kind of tired hearing about weed since it's now legal in canada. that's all i hear about is nothing but weed.

rimmel scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal eyeliner

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the rimmel scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal eyeliner. now i have two of these. one in black and one in turquoise.now depending on where you buy it, these seems to range from $6.99 - $8.99 and you get 0.042 ounces of product. now this is a pencil so you are going to need a sharpener. i know, i too wish these were self sharpening but oh well. for being a drug store eyeliner, these are surprisingly pigmented and creamy. they don't tug on the eyes at all and are great for using on the waterline. now i wouldn't say these are smudge proof, if you accidentally touch your eye the liner will move a bit. these however seem to stay a good amount of time on the waterline. i love this as i have watery eyes and eyeliner will pretty much never stay on the waterline, these however do. if you don't want black they have other colors too. from what i can see they have what would be called normal colors, brown, gray, black ect but they also have fun colors like white, green, purple and gold. you are pretty much guaranteed to find a color you want. i honestly do recommend these eye liners, i mean they drug store and aren't super expensive. sure there are probably better high end liners out there, but if your like me and not made of money these eye liners will do just fine.

gone but not forgotten: wet n wild comfort zone palette

hello everyone. it's been a while since i've done a gone but not forgotten review. if you don't know what this is, it is when i review a product that you can no longer buy. for this review i am reviewing the wet n wild 8 pan eye shadow palette in comfort zone. there is still a wet n wild comfort zone palette on the market, but this is the original formula.

here is the left side of the eye shadows swatched.
and here is the right side swatched.

as you can see these are pretty shimmery shades, but the smoothness and the pigmentation on these eye shadows is to die for. i hate that wet n wild changed the formula as these were perfect. the shades here are good for everyday and smoking it out. recognize the bottom shade on the second photo? ya that's basically a dupe for urban decay's lounge eye shadow. the price of these palettes at the time were only $8 CND, that's a good deal for a mini eye shadow palette. i will say that one slight downfall is that the two matte with glitter shades do have glitter fallout. not the end of the world for me in some cases but i know for some this is a deal breaker.
so do any of you still have this palette?

Makeup Forever Artist Color Eye Shadow

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the makeup forever artist color eye shadow single. the shade i have here is 1544 pink granite. now this is just a sample i have, the full size of this is 0.08 ounces and costs $22.00 CND at sephora.

here are the swatches. the first one is done with a finger, the one below it with a brush. i'm actually surprised as to how pigmented this was, mind you with being a huge company like makeup forever you would hope that the eye shadow was pigmented. you can pack it on to bring the eye shadow to full opacity or you can make it sheer. this actually looks pretty nice in the centre of a halo eye or in the inner corner to bring some shimmer. this particular shade does seem to perform pretty well, it's easy to blend however i am not so sure about the rest of the eye shadows in this range. i can't for certain say that these eye shadows are amazing since this is the only one i've tried from the range, but i wouldn't mind getting more to play around with. makeup forever seems to have some nice colors, both natural and bold. i'm not super thrilled about the price but this is high end, it's almost on a par price wise with urban decay. if you have the money i'd say go for it.

nomad cosmetics nordic lights intense eye shadow

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the nomad cosmetics nordic lights intense eye shadow in the shade norrsken no 3. i got this in one of my ipsy glam bags, though i can't remember which month. i want to say october? anyway the one i have is not full sized, it is 0.05 ounces while a full size is 0.08 ounces. these eye shadows are made in china and are vegan and cruelty free. a full size of this from the nomad website is $12.

here are the swatches. the first one is done with a finger while the second is done with a brush. the website calls this a plum but to me this has a lot more pink in it than purple. it is a pretty shade but it does take some work to bring it to full opacity on the eyes. i will also point out that blending it is a bit difficult. the packing on this compact is a bit of a pain to open. i don't know about you, but breaking a a nail trying to open an eye shadow isn't a thing for me. anyway this eye shadow is just ok, it's not something crazy amazing out there. in fact i don't really use this eye shadow much. i will say though that if i were to get another one of these in an ipsy that i wouldn't be mad at it.

violet voss le macaron mini palette

hello everyone today i am reviewing the violet voss le marcaron mini eye shadow palette.

like the other mini eye shadow palettes in this line, this palette has 10 eye shadows. all of these ones are shimmers. each eye shadow is 0.04 ounces and it retails for $24 at sephora canada, in the usa it will be a bit cheaper.

here are the swatches from the first row, they are done with just a finger.

and here is the second row. sorry it's not as in focus, my camera didn't really like all the glitter.

anyway these are shadows are pretty pigmented like most of the violet voss eye shadows i have tried. although this wouldn't be a standalone palette, the shades in here are great to add some pop to a look. i will say though that a few of these of glitter fallout, so if that is something you are not into then you won't be a fan of this. i do also wish that the purple shade in the second row was a bit more purple but whatever. also if you REALLY want these shadows to pop insanely use a wet brush, trust me you will not be disappointed.

maybelline fit me foundation

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the maybelline fit me foundation. the shade i wear, or at least the shade i was matched to is 120 classic ivory. now this shade is actually too dark for me so the person who matched me with that shade clearly has no idea what she is doing. anyway...
this foundation seems to retail around $10.99 depending on where you buy it and you get 1 fluid ounce of product. from the photo this claims to be for normal to dry skin.
so besides the fact that it's too dark for me, i am not a fan of this foundation. as i  have mentioned before, i have weird skin. my upper lip and chin tend to be oily, my nose and forehead tend to me dry and the rest of my skin is normal. well this foundation isn't very comfortable first of all and doesn't seem to really stay in my t zone. yes i know my lip area and chin are oily, so i expected that i would have to powder that, but it's the same thing on my nose and the rest of the my face. it just seems to slide off after an hour or so.
the coverage on this isn't that great either, you can still see the redness of my skin after one layer. doing another layer of this foundation is a no no as it will look really cakey! not a cute look.so i'm not a fan of this foundation at all. it literally just sits there collecting dust.

oryza beauty lipstick

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the oryza beauty lipstick in the shade opus. i got this in my october ipsy glam bag, and it is a full size product. i can't seem to find this particular shade either on ipsy or the oryza website, but the other lipsticks are $22.50 for 1.3 ounces of product.

here is the swatch. the shade is a dark berry color, but it's not super dark and least for my skin is totally wearable. this does have a slight lipsticky smell, but it isn't super noticeable once it's on your lips. it's pretty comfortable on the lips, i hardly noticed it was even on, which is a huge plus. the pigment on this isn't bad either, i only had to do one coat to get good opacity. all in all, this isn't a product i wouldn't mind getting in my ipsy bag, but this isn't one i'd go out of my way to buy either. i feel like $22.50 is a bit much for a lipstick but that's just me.

violet voss fruit sorbet mini eye shadow palette

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the violet voss fruit sorbet mini eye shadow palette.

this palette retails for $24 CND from sephora and contains 10 eye shadows. 4 of the shadows in this palette are shimmer, while 6 are matte.

here is this first row swatched.

and here is the second row.

this palette is clearly not going to be something you use by it's self as it lacks a transition shade. the mattes while they swatch well are harder to work with, especially the yellow and orange. using a natural colored base, despite packing the color on doesn't make them very pigmented. a white colored base like the nyx jumbo pencil in milk should make them more pigmented on the eyes. i've found that these mattes are a bit harder to blend as well and are a little patchy. i'm going to assume that this is because of the colors as for the most part, i've  had good luck with violet voss mattes. the shimmer shades perform just like other violet voss shimmers. they are pigmented, smooth and blender pretty well. i seriously love the blue in this palette, it is just so pretty. is this palette for everyone? not really. if your into color or your want to experiment with color then this is for you. it is a cool palette, i just wish that the mattes were better.

covergirl outlast 3 in 1 foundation

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the covergirl outlast stay fabulous 3 in 1 foundation. now yes i just used a photo i found on google as mine is really nasty looking, we don't need to see that now do we? anyway, the shade i use is classic ivory which is the closest the a match i can get with foundation shades. depending on where you buy this, it seems to range from about $9 to $13CND.

now i am not someone who wears foundation that often, my skin just isn't a fan of it no matter the brand. i also just in general have weird skin. my nose and upper lip are oily, my forehead is dry and the rest of my skin is normal. ya try to find a foundation that caters to all that bull crap on your face. this is a matte foundation so if your like me and do have dry patches, this will cling to them and make them look worse. the coverage is decent, i have a lot of redness in my face and one coat does a good job of covering it. i personally find that this foundation blends out better with a sponge than a brush, using a brush with this makes it somewhat streaky.

i do have to also say that the shade range of this foundation is pretty poor. if your darker skinned then don't even bother, you will have the same problem if you are very pale. i don't consider myself super pale, but i even find it hard to get a really match. i'm like between classic ivory and ivory. sure i could mix them but why do i want to pay for two foundations? that's just stupid.

this is a decent foundation. from the short time i wear it, it is fairly comfortable just good luck trying to get your shade.

meech and mia pressed eye shadow

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the meech and mia pressed eye shadow single in the shade taupe. i got this in one of my ipsy glam...
