hello everyone today i will be reviewing the violet voss fruit sorbet mini eye shadow palette.
this palette retails for $24 CND from sephora and contains 10 eye shadows. 4 of the shadows in this palette are shimmer, while 6 are matte.
here is this first row swatched.
and here is the second row.
this palette is clearly not going to be something you use by it's self as it lacks a transition shade. the mattes while they swatch well are harder to work with, especially the yellow and orange. using a natural colored base, despite packing the color on doesn't make them very pigmented. a white colored base like the nyx jumbo pencil in milk should make them more pigmented on the eyes. i've found that these mattes are a bit harder to blend as well and are a little patchy. i'm going to assume that this is because of the colors as for the most part, i've had good luck with violet voss mattes. the shimmer shades perform just like other violet voss shimmers. they are pigmented, smooth and blender pretty well. i seriously love the blue in this palette, it is just so pretty. is this palette for everyone? not really. if your into color or your want to experiment with color then this is for you. it is a cool palette, i just wish that the mattes were better.
