Too Faced Then and Now Eye Shadow Palette

Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing the Too Faced Then And Now Eye Shadow palette. This palette retails for $69.00 CND at Sephora Canada. You get a total of 20 eye shadows. The top row with the circle pans are supposed to be some of Too Faced original eye shadows, while the bottom row with the square pans are supposed to be modern re imagined versions. The circle pans have about 1 gram of product while the square pans have about 1.25 grams of product.

All swatches are done with just a finger. The shades are as follows.
Twinkle, Pixie Dust, Dirt Bag, Rizzo, Zsa Zsa

Next up is Temper Temper, Trixie, Villain, Ice Queen, Ooh and Ahh

Next is Glitter Donut, Lost Boys, NSFW, Gretchen and Reality Star

Finally we have I Can't Even, Gigi, Shady Bitch, Chill Out and Ohh La La (which are the black and sand colors)

I have major issues with this eye shadow palette and am super disappointed in it, especially with it being my first purchase from Too Faced. First off there is the packaging. The palette is way bigger than it needs to be, it's almost a foot long. Too Faced could have done a much more compact design, there are only 20 eye shadows here, not 50. Now I don't know if this is all of the palettes, but you can tell that mine was put together in a hurry. The pans aren't aligned with the openings in the cardboard properly and many of them aren't properly glued down, making them move. Pretty much every eye shadow I have had to take out of the palette, realign it and use duct tape to tape the pans down. Not at all impressive for basically a $70 palette.
The eye shadows themselves are a hit and a miss. The glitter shades like glitter donut, lost boys, nsfw, reality star, shady bitch and chill out have a INSANE amount of glitter fallout. Like I am talking once the glitter particles get on your skin, they're not going away any time soon. After doing the swatches both my arms and hands are covered in particles, not cute. Pigmentation is a hit or a miss. The mattes are super lacking in pigment and so are some of the shimmers, while some shimmers are much more pigmented then you expected and you mess up your look. Villain for example, in the pan looks like a nice plum but is almost non exsistant once you put it on your eye or even swatch it. The glitter shades are a pain in the ass to apply as well. To get them to be pigmented you basically have to use your finger, which is a waste of product and messy, even a wet brush doesn't really do anything. I was going to return this to Sephora but I'm pretty sure that they won't take it back since I had to reassemble the palette. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with this eye shadow palette.
