anti haul shit i'm not going buy

hello everyone, it's time for another anti hail! also known as, new shit i'm not going to buy!

first thing i'm not going to buy, is this skin deep eye shadow palette from nars. honestly the shades just don't excite me and i feel like i already have the shades from other palettes.

next up is the shade and light contour duo from kat von d. well you all know why i'm not getting this because i don't support anti vaxxers.
next is the roller glow roll on highlighter by kaja. i feel like this is kind of gimicky especially with the applicator. why not just call it a cream highlighter?

next is this vanish liquid foundation from hourglass. i wasn't that impressed with the stick and even though i don't know the price, i know it's going to be expensive. i don't like buying expensive foundation when i know i don't wear it that often.

next is this collection from physicians formula and casey holms. i'm sorry but this just bores the crap out of me. just...no.

although i do think the color is pretty this is $51.48 canadian. ya...that's a bit much for a lipstick sorry folks, maybe when i win the lottery?

next is this little palette from tarte. now i actually love the colors however i'm not paying what's probably going to be over $30 once the usd is converted to canadian, for 8 eye shadows. if there were a few more i'd maybe buy it but not for 8. sorry tarte.

anyway that's it for this weeks anti haul. what new makeup products are coming out that you aren't going to buy?:

eddie funkhouser twisted kisses matte lip pencil

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the eddie funkhouser twisted kisses matte lip pencil in the shade kiss me twice. i got this in one of my ipsy glam bags (can't remember which month) but you can buy this from the eddie funkhouser website for $12.99 there is 2.8 grams of product and it is made in china. this product is also cruelty free, gluten free no soy and non gmo.

here is a swatch of the lip color on my arm. it's slightly lighter than my natural lip  color. for being a matte lip color it is fairly comfortable on the lips, however if you have cracked lips this make them look worse. the color is fairly opaque as well, as i only needed one coat on my lips. how well this lasts is pretty standard i find for any lipstick. you eat something it's going to transfer, drink something it will transfer and of course is you kiss someone. now even though i love my liquid lipsticks and how they last all day, sometimes i just don't want to deal with insane dryness. i don't mind wearing this at all and i wouldn't be mad if i got more in my ipsy bag. i do think though that basically $13 is a bit much for a jumbo lip pencil, and who knows how much that converts to in canadian dollars. ya i get it, your an indie brand but i personally can't justify spending that much when i know i can get something of similar quality from the drugstore at a similar or cheaper price. as i said i'm not mad at the product and if i ever receive more in a subscription i wouldn't mind, i just wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. maybe if you are someone who has more money to spend then go for it and give these a shot. i also want to point out that they only have five shades which are all in the wearable nude esc category minus the more plum shade.

lock color lock it waterproof pencil eyeliner

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the lock color lock it waterproof pencil eyeliner in the shade pearl brown. now i got this in one of my ipsy bags, but you can get it on the lock color website for $9.00. there are currently two shades, black and brown. the product is made in korea and sadly i don't know how much product you get as it is not labeled.

here is a swatch. as you can see it is quite metallic, definitely not your standard boring brown eyeliner. this is pretty creamy and goes on fairly smoothly, even on the water line. i love that this is also a twist up so no pencil sharpeners are needed! now i have pretty watery eyes, or at least my water line is, so rarely do i find an eyeliner that will stay on. this stays on and not only that, i fell asleep with it on and it was still on my water line. once this goes on your skin, it is there to last. i will say that on the lid it was a bit of a pain to remove but to me that just means that it's going to last all day and isn't a problem for me. i will say that if you happen to touch your eyeliner with your finger or something, it will transfer a bit onto the finger but lets be real, who sits there touching their eyeliner? no one. i do like this product and if you can somehow get your hands on it, get it especially if you have problems keeping eyeliner on your water line.

aphrodite skin care olive oil face mask

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the aphrodite skin care olive oil face mask. i got mine in one of my ipsy glam bags so it isn't full size. you can buy the full size of this face mask for $10.99 USD on both the ipsy website and the aphrodite website. the full size contains 2.53 fluid ounces of product while my sample size has 0.51 fluid ounces. this mask is made in greece. the company claims that this mask is enriched with witch hazel and aloe vera and will work for all skin types. it claims to hydrate, draw out impurities and make the skin radiant.
now my the skin on my nose is always disgusting, i have yet to find a mask that will fully clean this besides peel off masks. although this claims to be deep cleaning this sadly didn't do a good job in my bad spots. the rest of my face where the skin wasn't so nasty felt nice, clean and moisturized. my skin rarely feel moisturized after doing a mask and is usually bright red but with this mask the skin wasn't red. it doesn't sting or tingle when the mask is one either which is a huge plus. i also want to point out that if you are someone who doesn't like smelly masks then this is for you. this mask to me smells like nothing which if you have sensitive skin you know that scents can make the skin irritated.  anyway it's a decent mask if i ever happen to see it in a store i'd buy it. i wouldn't buy it online though because having stuff shipped from the states to canada is a pain in the butt. if you live in the states you should give this a try especially if you have sensitive skin.

morphe m433 pro firm blending fluff

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the morphe m433 pro firm blending fluff brush. i got mine at sephora canada for $8 but you can also get it from morphe canada for the same price. vegans out there will hate this brush as it's made with goat hair.
this brush is pretty soft and i actually prefer it to the m441 for blending out shadows in my crease. it's smaller and much more precise. it does shed when you clean but it doesn't seem to shed while it's in use on the eyes which is huge for me. one of my m441's shed while it's in use and drives my a little bit crazy. now i don't know if all of the m433's are like this, or if they have a quality issue too like the m441 where some are good and some aren't but i actually plan on getting another one of these so i will keep you posted on that. besides that it's a good little brush for blending and it's only $8 so i feel like you can't really go wrong with it.

sundays nontoxic nail polish

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the sundays nontoxis nail polish in the shade no 18. i got this nail polish in one of my ipsy glam bags, i think the october bag? anyway you get .47 fluid ounces of product and it was made in china. this nail polish vegan, cruelty free and ten free.so in short this means that this nail polish has none of that nasty stuff other nail polishes have.currently you can get this nailpolish on the ipsy website or on the sundays website for $18.00 USD.
this nail polish is described as a deep plum. i feel though it's actually a bit more of a purple based dark red. when applying it is a bit streaky so you need to work with it to make it even. you get full opacity at two coats. now i don't expect a nail polish to not chip on me, i do manual labour for a job so regardless stuff is going to chip. this actually lasted through two four hour days at work before i started to notice polish chipping at the ends. i have to say that i'm actually pretty impressed by that. the one downer is that i wish their range had more exciting colors and some metallics but that's it. sure $18 is a bit much for a nail polish, but if your one of those people who only use vegan products i think you'd really like the staying power of this polish. also i didn't wear a top coat, so i can only imagine how better the staying power is with one.

hourglass vanish seamless finish foundation stick

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the hourglass vanish seamless finish foundation stick. now first things first. i did not use a full size of this, i got a sample from sephora with one of my orders. the shade i got was shell, which did not match me at all. it's way to dark. i think i might be closer to the shade porcelain, but i'm not letting that count in my review. anyway a full size of this product will coast you $56.00 CND for 0.25 ounces of product. yikes that is expensive for how little amount of product you get.
now my skin can be a little temperamental. some days i'm normal, some days i'm dry and some i'm oily. i am however always oily around my nose (except when it's dry, my nose is one or the other), my lady stash aka my upper lip and my lower lip. so finding a foundation that works can be a pain in the ass. when i tried this i had a few dry patches on the top of my head and the redness in my skin was being very red that day. this claims it will work for all skin types so i though eh i will try it today anyway and boy was that a mistake. first off it didn't cover the redness in my face so well, which i need a foundation to do. it clung to the dry patches on my forehead and just in general looked super cakey on my skin and i didn't even set it! i also found it a bit hard to blend especially with a sponge. once i did what i could with it, it didn't feel too bad on the skin, like it didn't feel heavy even though it was cakey. i only wore for it for about an hour so i can't say if the long wearing claim is true ( i can't wear foundation for too long or my skin breaks out) but it did still look the same from when i first put it on. removing this was actually a pain i used two makeup remover wipes plus my normal face cleanser and i still felt like there was product on my face.
it didn't break me out for the short amount of time that i wore it, which is a big plus but i just feel like if your having dry skin that this isn't going to be for you. i almost wonder if the cakeyness wouldn't be so bad with this product if you had oilyer skin? i wouldn't say that this if full coverage either as you could still see some of the redness under the foundation. although i have tried a couple of drugstore foundations that aren't full coverage but still cover up the redness in my cheeks. i just don't think that this is worth the money. for me it's pricey, especially for a stick foundation. had this been a liquid foundation i could justify the $56 a little more but even then, to me that's still a bit much.

jelly pong pony cosmetics cosmic light multifuncational pigments

hello everyone, today i will be reviewing the jelly pong pong cosmetics cosmic light multifuncational pigment in the shade pulsar. currently there are 16 shades of these pigments on the jelly pong pong website and the retail for $18.00. these pigments are vegan, cruelty free and hypoallergenic.

here is a swatch and oh my lord is she ever pretty! if you are going to use this on your eyes i highly recommend using a sticky base and also doing your eyes before your foundation as this does have fallout. this is super pretty and glittery, giving a beautiful pop of color to any look. i seriously need more of these. you can even use this as a nail polish and it is still super glittery and pretty. simply do one coat of clear, then add the pigment and seal it with another clear coat. that's not all, the lighter shades they carry you could totally use as a blinding highlighter. i strongly recommend this product to anyone who loves glittery pigments. if i didn't have to pay $24 shipping i would happily order some more of these.

Ipsy Glam Bag December 2018

hello everyone today i will be sharing with you what i got in my december ipsy glam bag. if you don't know what ipsy is, it is a makeup monthly subscription where they send you products based on your profile. for the most part ipsy has been pretty accurate with the products they send based on my profile. of course there is the odd thing they send that isn't on my preferences but that's not the end of the world.

the first product i got is the around the world infusion holographic illuminator by nomad cosmetics in the shade ko pha ngan moonlight.now i am not someone who wears highlighter, however this looks like i could also use it on my eyes.

next is this tapered blending brush from f.a.r.a.h brushes. this is also an extra item in this months bag. hey you can never have enough blending brushes.

next is the glitter flip transforming glitter liquid lipstick by ciate in the shade infamous.

next is the nude beach eye shadow by the balm in the shade bootylicious.

next is this precision blending eye shadow brush from luxie. this is freaking perfect. the size is small enough for blending out little details in the crease. i love it.

finally we have this ultra violet brightening purple clay mask by generation clay.

all in all i'm pretty impressed with this month. it is basically spot on to what my profile is. i love that i got two brushes this month, you can never have enough brushes.

morphe 35m boss mood eye shadow palette

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the morphe 35m boss mood eye shadow palette.

i got this from sephora for $30 CND but you can also get this from ulta and morphe. there are 35 eye shadows in this palette with both matte and shimmer shades. some of the shimmers have mico glitter in them.

here is the first row. all swatches were done with a finger and no base. the shades are: light of the party, popstar, stroke of luck, express yo'self, nude tude, green with envy and sheen stealer.

next is stand out, bold moves, electric energy, hello sunshine, play it cool, hawt stuff and peachy kneen.
next is fired up, bright eyes, bossy af, fotd, talk dirty, hot to trot and sparks fly.

next is confidence, red carpet, power slayer, daredevil, vampy vixen, sweet beets and color pesrona.
next is transformer, center of attention, indi-glow kween, grape expectations, candy crush, sultry ways and black magic.

first things first. morphe or at least what i've experienced isn't as good as the youtube influencers make it seem. i would compare the quality of the eye shadows in this palette to that of bh cosmetics. now i'm not saying that these eye shadows suck, they don't, they just aren't the super omg amazing quality that they are made out to be.
anyway you get a mix or matte and shimmer shades. some of the shimmer shades of micro glitter. the shimmer shades do have fallout, especially the ones with the micro glitter. these ones seem to work best when using a finger. on one shade i used a wet brush and it really didn't make too much of a difference in opacity. the mattes in this are hit and miss. some of the shades are patchy and take a bit of layering to build up the color, while some are pretty good and decently pigmented. i also want to mention that a couple of the matte shades are a bit of a pain to blend, they come out a bit patchy and you need to really work with them. now i don't know if all of the morphe eye shadows are like this. i do like the color story of the palette, it is something you don't see companies do very often and some of the shades are defiantly unique. anyway it's not the worst eye shadow palette i've tried, but it's not the best. you are getting what you pay for in my opinion.

violet voss creme brulee mini palette

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the violet voss creme brulee mini eye shadow palette.

this palette retails for $24 at sephora and has ten eye shadows. four of these are mattes while six are shimmer.

here are the swatches. all the swatches were done with a finger and no base. two of the matte shades have micro glitter but it's not super noticeable once it's on the eyes. the eye shadows are smooth and pigmented which is what i expect from violet voss. they are easy to work with too which is a huge plus. this is your perfect everyday warm brown palette and the size makes it great for travel. its a good palette and the formula of violet voss eye shadows are awesome especially since they aren't that expensive. i highly suggest you try something from this brand.

meech and mia pressed eye shadow

hello everyone today i will be reviewing the meech and mia pressed eye shadow single in the shade taupe. i got this in one of my ipsy glam...
